    review rating 1  Follow up: yes I went to BBQ exchange Update: See below for response to my review. Very professional! Also, you were out of pulled pork, baked beans, collard greens and had no "homemade dessert" to be had. Also I heard the husband tell the wife they didn't even have enough to fill the pound and a half that they had just sold in front of me. And you expect me to "come back and enjoy some great BBQ?" Will you even have it?! Place is a joke and won't last. Well went up there and they have 10 things total on the menu and 6 of them were sold out. Including pulled pork and baked beans. And wouldn't sell anything less than a whole rack of ribs at 21.99 even though they were out of pulled pork. On a Thursday. And they're only open Weds-Sat. Huge disappointment. Have been waiting to try this but it is difficult to get there before 7 for a working man who lives 20 mins away. Sigh. Guess I'll stick to my own smoker.

    review rating 5  My husband and I just ate dinner here, and the food was AWESOME the pork had the best flavor was juicy the sauces were great. This barbaque was like home South Carolina style. Beans were my husbands favorite great smoke flavor with a kick Cole slaw, corn cakes. And the mouth watering Mac and Cheese to die for. Everyone there was very friendly very clean, very cozy atmosphere. We will tell all our family and friends and be back many more times now. Thank for having the BEST barbaque in Virginia.

    review rating 4  Stopped in on Friday night. Nice place...feels like a smokehouse should. Only a few tables so pretty cozy. The menu is super limited but that could be because they are focusing on getting it right. That night they only had pulled pork or chicken and full rack of ribs ~$22. The pulled pork is as juicy as I've ever had. Not as flavorful as I'd like but the tenderness and the delicious sauces make up for it. The mustard sauce is excellent. The greens were the only side I could eat (doing Keto) and I don't like greens. They were outstanding. I could have eaten a whole bowl. I thought both coleslaws were outstanding. Hopefully they will perfect brisket like they have the pork. I am looking forward to going back to try the ribs. With a few tweaks this place can be 6 stars!

    review rating 4  Set in a lovely country setting (on a not too busy country road,) in a charming country-store space, you will enjoy delicious country food. Very well done. Recommended.
